Every Other Breath You Take Comes From the Ocean

December 12, 2024
Filed Under: Ocean Health, Human Health

The vast global ocean covers most of our planet and sustains us.  Every other breath we take comes from the ocean. Oxygen comes from photosynthetic organisms – trees, plants, phytoplankton, and seaweed.  More oxygen is produced by marine photosynthetic organisms like phytoplankton than plants and trees on land. Microscopic photosynthetic organisms convert carbon dioxide to oxygen for us to breathe.  Thank you ocean.
