Ocean conservation photographers make emotionally powerful photographs that educate us about the magnificence as well as the dire state of ocean ecosystems.

Ocean Conservation Photographers: Paul Nicklen, Chase Teron, and Cristina Mittermeier

Ocean conservation photos raise vital awareness about the devastating impact human activities such as plastic pollution, chemical pollution, carbon emissions, and overfishing have on marine life and importance of protecting our oceans. Collaborating with scientists they provide digital documentation of the negative effects of human impacts on our life sustaining ocean.

Their photographs can inspire awe or sadden us to take action and to vote for conservation measures that impact policies to protect our oceans.

What actions can you take to help save ocean ecosystems?

Eat sustainable seafood, volunteer for a beach clean up, reduce your single use plastic

Buy Photographs – Check out Sea Legacy’s 100 for the Ocean fund raiser during May.  All proceeds of purchased photographs go towards ocean conservation.

This Paul Nicklen photo of an 80 pound Emperor Penguin flying out of the water is awesome. You can purchase it or 100 other amazing photos on their website.
